Automatic Shear and Welder on High Speed Tube Mill

For feeding the strip continuously to the horizontal or vertical spiral accumulator, the shear and welder unit is installed just after pinch roll and leveler but before the spiral accumulator.

The unit shears the incoming strip and also the outgoing strip so as to make a joint for making a continuous feed to the accumulator. The cutting is done by hydraulically operated shear while welding is done by MIG welding straight torch having linear motion through D.C. drive motor and gearbox.
