For cutting the pipe on the Tube Mill in smaller lengths lengths as required out of to continuously welded pipe,a six rotary disc cutter is used, so that the cutting action takes place at the predetermined length. The complete operation is automatic and the cutting action takes place by the six rotating disc cutters while the pipe moves forward. The drive to the cutter is through A.C. motor and cutting pressure is exerted by hydraulic power. This is usually used for pipe 4" NB and above for round pipes only.
